About MGMUN 2026
MGM Model United Nations (MGMUN 2026) is a premier academic platform meticulously designed to simulate international diplomacy, rigorous parliamentary debate, and global conflict resolution. It serves as a transformative experience for aspiring student leaders to develop their public speaking, negotiation, and policy-drafting skills on a competitive stage.
Conference Dates
The three-day conference is scheduled to take place from June 12 to June 14, 2026.
Venue Details
The event will be conducted fully offline at the Moderator Gladstone Institute of Legal Studies campus in Cheruvarakonam, Kerala, India.
Eligibility
Participation is open and highly encouraged for both school students and college students from diverse academic backgrounds.
Committees & Agendas
This year’s conference features three primary committees, each designed to challenge delegates with highly relevant contemporary legislative, human rights, and journalistic crises:
- Kerala Legislative Assembly (KLA): Delegates will engage in localized parliamentary procedures, deliberating on the critical implications of the Online Safety (Social Media Minimum Age) Act 2026.
- United Nations Women (UNW): This committee will focus on the push for global gender parity by evaluating the effectiveness and broader systemic consequences of gender quotas in political representation.
- International Press (IP): Acting as the critical eye of the conference, journalists in this committee will address the Fourth Estate crisis, analyzing the immense challenges of maintaining journalistic integrity and unbiased reporting within an increasingly polarized media landscape.
