Men and Women of marriageable age shall have the right to marry and found a family, according to national laws governing the exercise of this right. Your right is subject to national law on marriage illegal between certain types of people for example- close relatives. Although the government is able to restrict the right to marry, any restrictions must not be arbitrary and interfere with the essential principle of the rights.
Human-animal marriage is a marriage between a (non-human) animal and a human. This topic has appeared in mythology. In 21st century there have been lots of reports from all over the world of human marring animals. Although animal-human marriage is not mentioned specifically in national Laws, the act of engaging in sexual acts with an animal is illegal in many countries under animal abuse laws.
Human-animal marriage is not specifically mentioned in national laws- that mean technically there’s nothing to stop; a human can marry an animal such as a dog, cat, rabbit, hamster or any other species. However the act of bestiality (sexual intercourse between a person and an animal) is illegal in many countries, including UK, where you can face a two-year imprisonment for committing such acts. Once again there are no specific laws relating to this, as it’s not possible to marry an inanimate object- although that hasn’t stopped people from enjoying such wedding, with many of those people identifying as an objectum sexual- someone who is attracted to inanimate objects.
A lady named Carol Santa, from San Diego, California says she has been in with Santa Fe train since she was nine years old. Every day she takes a 45 minute bus ride to the station to spend some time with the building. Although their marriage is not legally binding, she ‘tied the knot’ with the building in 2015. Carol identifies herself as an objectum sexual- a person who is sexually attracted to animate object and Carol did not discover this until she was 40.
The World has witnessed throughout ages that people marrying their pets or any non-human for many reasons but in India it is a custom. As many parts of the country perform human-animal marriage just as a matter of superstition. The marriage between humans and non-humans is not acknowledge in any law by any country at present but on the other hand allowed by the traditions. The practice of animal-human marriage has a important role in many mythological stories and it is often considered as a act of god.
The Santhal tribe believes that a child is in terrible danger if their first [i]tooth appears on the upper gum so to disappear the evil the child need to marry a dog, however they can marry a [1]human after they are grown up.
Similarly in Darjeeling, when a girl first experience her menstruation she need to marry a dog or a banana tree as a part of the custom.
In Indian astrology, there is a combination of star position at the time of birth that is called Manglik. As per the belief, people who are manglik negatively affect the durability of their better half and thus to break this curse the girl has to marry a dog or a tree. In case of boy, he needs to perform some rituals to get rid of his bad luck.
The girl, Karnamoni Handsa, had to marry a dog because she had a tooth rooted to her upper gum, which is considered as a bad omen by the Santhal tribe in the village. Member of the village jury asked her to get married to a dog. The elders of the village said that the marriage would not affect the girl’s life, and that she would be free to marry again and did not need to divorce the dog. The wedding took place on 11 June and was attended by more than 100 guests. When the girl was asked about her marriage with the dog- she replied “I have no regret in marrying the dog. Bacchan (the dog) is a street dog who survives on left-over, and from now onward I am going to take care of him.
It may be superstition or rituals, the practice of marrying an animal sounds weird. The world is obsessing over the love for pets and animals and we can understand that but marrying them just because of custom is not sensible. Marriage the legally or formally recognized union of two people as partners in a personal relationship. Marriage means when two person love each other ,respect each other, take care of each other and the most important they shares the responsibilities. So, how can a dog do that? Yes, one may get married later to a human after completing the rituals, but the question is what is the need of marrying an animal first? As we know that sentiments, emotions and believe are attached with this so arguing in this topic is too difficult.
