About NCDTC – WICCI
The National Cybersecurity & Digital Transformation Council (NCDTC) is a council under the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI). It works to build awareness on cybersecurity, data protection, artificial intelligence and digital law in the Indian context through knowledge sessions, webinars and research-driven content.
The Council’s mission is to see women as leaders, and not merely participants, in India’s digital and cybersecurity ecosystem.
About the Webinar
NCDTC – WICCI is organising an online webinar on the “Data Principal Request Framework”. The session will examine how organisations can build a working system to handle Data Principal requests, from the moment a request is received to the time it is resolved.
The webinar will discuss the rights available to individuals, or Data Principals, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the processes that Data Fiduciaries must establish to receive, verify, act on and close such requests within the timelines prescribed by law.
About the Speaker
The session will be led by Paakhhi Garg, Partner (Data Privacy Practice) at the World Cyber Security Forum. She is a Data Privacy Compliance Specialist and Cyber Law Educator.
Her areas of experience include data privacy compliance, cyber law, AI governance, technology contracts and digital risk management. She has advised start-ups, MSMEs, educational institutions and other organisations on privacy governance frameworks aligned with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the DPDP Rules and the General Data Protection Regulation.
