LawLex is pleased to invite applications from law students across India for its flagship Independence Day Special Panel Discussion 2026 📜 .
This year’s discussion centres on the theme:
Beyond the Name Change: Are India’s Criminal Laws Truly Decolonised?

The discussion seeks to explore whether India’s new criminal laws represent a genuine departure from the colonial framework or whether deeper institutional reforms remain necessary to realise the promise of decolonisation.
Through a competitive application process, five outstanding students will be selected to participate in a professionally moderated online panel discussion to be released on the occasion of Independence Day.

Eligibility
Open to students pursuing graduation from any recognised institution in India.

Applicants must submit a 250–300 word response to the question provided in this form- https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfwEtgHBMqvjRQuwg2kQchtll-x0pAQLBhuNNzaE1yDzP8rKQ/viewform
