About CRGCL
The Centre for Research and Governance in Cyber Law (CRGCL) is an independent academic forum established by legal scholars, cybersecurity researchers, and technology policy experts to promote rigorous research in cyber law, technology, and digital governance.
The Centre focuses on producing research that contributes to legal and policy developments in India’s evolving digital ecosystem. Its work is guided by constitutional values and aligns with global frameworks, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 9 and SDG 16.
About the Opportunity
CRGCL is inviting applications for its editorial board for the academic year 2026–27. Selected members will contribute to legal research, academic publishing, and editorial activities across the Centre’s publications.
Positions Available
Managing Editor(s)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial screening and acknowledge submissions.
- Assign manuscripts to the editorial team.
- Manage the editorial calendar and publication schedule.
- Coordinate with contributors regarding revisions.
- Collaborate with digital editors to ensure publication readiness.
- Lead editorial meetings and support the editor-in-chief.
Preferred Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Associate Editor(s)
Responsibilities:
- Review submissions for legal accuracy, quality, and coherence.
- Provide detailed editorial feedback to authors.
- Coordinate with junior associate editors during the review process.
- Assist in finalizing accepted submissions.
- Contribute original editorials or commentaries.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong analytical, research, writing, and editing abilities.
- Foundational knowledge of cyber law and digital governance.
Junior Associate Editor(s)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct plagiarism and formatting checks.
- Verify thematic relevance of submissions.
- Communicate minor revision requests under supervision.
- Maintain submission records and support editorial operations.
Preferred Skills:
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn.
Digital Editor(s)
Responsibilities:
- Format and publish approved content on the website.
- Optimise content for SEO and add metadata.
- Ensure readability across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Inform contributors after publication.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress.
- Basic understanding of SEO.
- Detail-oriented approach.
