About RGNUL & The Kautilya Society
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, is a premier national law university established to promote quality legal education and research.
The Kautilya Society at RGNUL is an academic platform dedicated to fostering rigorous legal analysis, policy research, and thoughtful dialogue across all branches of law. The Kautilya Society RGNUL Blog invites original submissions focusing on topics of domestic, foreign, or international legal relevance.
Scope & Theme
The blog welcomes manuscripts addressing policy research across any area of law (domestic, foreign, or international). Authors are encouraged to explore contemporary legal issues, policy frameworks, legislative analyses, and comparative legal studies.

Submission & Formatting Guidelines

Submission Basis: Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Word Count: 1,000–1,500 words (exclusive of endnotes). Longer posts may be published in multiple parts at the Editorial Board’s discretion.

Language: English or Hindi. Submissions in other languages are accepted if accompanied by an English or Hindi translation.

Co-Authorship: Allowed up to a maximum of two co-authors.

Originality & AI Policy: Submissions must be original and unpublished elsewhere. Plagiarism will lead to immediate rejection. The use of AI tools to generate or refine content is strongly discouraged; AI-generated manuscripts are subject to rejection.

Synopsis: Include a brief introduction/synopsis not exceeding 250 words at the beginning of the manuscript.
Technical Formatting Specifications

File Format: MS Word (
.docor.docx). -
Title Formatting: Garamond, 14 pt, ALL CAPS, Bold (maximum 20 words).

Body Text: Times New Roman, 12 pt, Line Spacing 1.5, Justified Alignment, 6 pt spacing before and after paragraphs.

Anonymity: To ensure a double-blind peer review, the file name must contain only the title of the post. Do not include personal details in the manuscript body, header/footer, or file metadata.

Citation Style: References must be provided as hyperlinks embedded directly in the text. Where online hyperlinks are unavailable, use endnotes formatted according to OSCOLA (4th Edition).
Editorial & Review Process
All submissions undergo a comprehensive two-round double-blind peer review by the Editorial Board prior to publication.
