About the Opportunity
Office of Advocate Pooja Gala is inviting applications for the position of Legal Research Intern for law students interested in corporate, commercial, taxation, cross-border and regulatory legal work. The internship is strictly offlineand requires a minimum commitment of 90 days.
Eligibility
The opportunity is open to students pursuing a 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. Candidates should have a strong interest in the areas of work specified below and meet the requirements mentioned by the office.
Areas of Work
The internship will involve exposure to Corporate & Commercial Law, Business & Company Law, Taxation, International/Foreign Law, Cross-Border Transactions, Corporate Compliance & Regulatory Law, Contracts & Commercial Agreements, and Insolvency and allied areas.
Work & Responsibilities
Interns will work on legal research, case-law analysis, drafting research notes and opinions, corporate and commercial research, compliance and due diligence research, tracking legal developments and other associated or allied work as assigned. Candidates will also receive first-hand exposure to real-time professional discussions and meetings.
Requirements
Candidates must have a strong command of English, proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office, and strong analytical, research and drafting skills. Basic knowledge of Spanish or French is preferred. Professionalism and a commitment to learning are also expected.
Duration
A minimum commitment of 90 days is required.
Joining
Immediate joining is required.
Location & Mode
The internship will be based in Thane. Interns will also be required to attend the Ulhasnagar office 1–2 days per week and be available for meetings as required.
Working Hours
The working hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Stipend & Certificate
Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend and an Internship Certificate. The amount of the stipend has not been specified.
