The National Centre for Law & Administration (NCLA) functions under the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, India’s premier civil services training institution.
The center focuses on strengthening legal understanding in governance and public administration through research, training programmes, and policy-oriented legal studies.

The internship offers law students exposure to the intersection of law, governance, policymaking, and administrative decision-making within the country’s top civil services academy.
About the Internship
The National Centre for Law & Administration Internship Programme is a research-oriented academic internship designed for law students interested in governance, constitutional law, public policy, and administrative law.
Interns may assist faculty members and researchers in:
- Legal and policy research
- Administrative law studies
- Governance and public policy analysis
- Legal drafting and analytical work
- Research relating to statutes, constitutional provisions, and judicial developments
The programme provides firsthand exposure to the functioning of India’s civil services training ecosystem.
Eligibility
- Final-year law students (LL.B.)
- Preference may be given to meritorious students with:
- Moot court achievements
- Research publications
- Strong academic background
Mode of Internship
On-site academic internship involving legal research, policy analysis, and administrative law studies.
