NITI Aayog Internship 2026 (April Cycle) – Apply Now

The NITI Aayog invites applications for its prestigious Internship Scheme, offering students a unique opportunity to engage with public policy and governance at the highest level in New Delhi.

About the Internship
The NITI Aayog Internship Scheme is designed to provide young academic talent with hands-on exposure to the functioning of India’s premier policy think tank. Interns contribute to research, data analysis, and policy formulation while gaining first-hand experience of government processes.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Undergraduate students (after completing 2nd year/4th semester)
  • Postgraduate students (after 1st year/2nd semester)
  • Research scholars (M.Phil./PhD)
  • Recent graduates (within 6 months of result declaration)
  • Minimum academic performance:
    • 85% in Class 12 (for UG applicants)
    • 70% in Graduation (for PG/research applicants)

Internship Details

  • Location: New Delhi
  • Duration: Minimum 6 weeks to maximum 6 months
  • Mode: On-site
  • Stipend: Unpaid (certificate provided upon completion)

Application Timeline (April 2026 Cycle)

  • Applications are open from 1st to 10th of every month
  • For an April internship, candidates were required to apply in January 2026 (1–10 Jan window)

How to Apply

  • Applications must be submitted online through the official NITI Aayog internship portal
  • Candidates need to upload:
    • Resume
    • Academic transcripts
    • Statement of Purpose
    • Valid ID proof
