About the Internship
The NITI Aayog Internship Scheme is designed to provide young academic talent with hands-on exposure to the functioning of India’s premier policy think tank. Interns contribute to research, data analysis, and policy formulation while gaining first-hand experience of government processes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Undergraduate students (after completing 2nd year/4th semester)
- Postgraduate students (after 1st year/2nd semester)
- Research scholars (M.Phil./PhD)
- Recent graduates (within 6 months of result declaration)
- Minimum academic performance:
- 85% in Class 12 (for UG applicants)
- 70% in Graduation (for PG/research applicants)
Internship Details
- Location: New Delhi
- Duration: Minimum 6 weeks to maximum 6 months
- Mode: On-site
- Stipend: Unpaid (certificate provided upon completion)
Application Timeline (April 2026 Cycle)
- Applications are open from 1st to 10th of every month
- For an April internship, candidates were required to apply in January 2026 (1–10 Jan window)
