Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, is inviting teams for the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition (Asia-Pacific Regional Rounds) 2026 from 2–5 April 2026 – one of the most prestigious moots in space law anywhere in the world.

This event is organised under the banner of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) and supported by the V.S. Mani Centre for Air and Space Law (VSMCASL). It gives law students a rare chance to discuss cutting-edge issues like liability and responsibility for space activities by non-governmental corporate actors, and to build expertise at the intersection of law, policy, and space technology.

📅 Key Dates:
• Registration deadline – 15 January 2026
• Written memorial submission – 15 February 2026
• Oral rounds – 2–4 April 2026
• Space law conference – 5 April 2026

👩‍⚖️ Why participate:
• Winner of the Asia-Pacific region advances to the World Finals in Antalya, Turkey at the International Astronautical Congress
• Finals are traditionally judged by sitting members of the International Court of Justice
• Awards for runners-up, best memorial, and top oralists

👥 Team structure: 2–3 members
📍 Venue: Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar
📜 Eligibility: Anyone enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate law programme (LL.B., LL.M., J.D., etc.)
