📣 CNLU-DPPI-IPR National Moot Court Competition, 2026

Organised by the DPIIT-IPR Chair & Centre for Innovation, Research and Facilitation (CIRF), Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna, in collaboration with S.S. Rana & Co., this moot is a premier platform for budding legal professionals to engage with cutting-edge intellectual property issues, especially at the intersection of Copyright and Artificial Intelligence.
Eligibility
Undergraduate law students (3-year LL.B. / 5-year integrated programme) from recognised Indian institutions are eligible. Each team should consist of three members – two speakers and one researcher. Multiple teams from the same law school are permitted.
Theme
Exploring contemporary challenges in Copyright & Artificial Intelligence — a topic that’s increasingly shaping legal discourse across tech, policy, and creative industries.
Mode & Dates
The competition follows a hybrid format. Preliminary, quarter-final, and semi-final rounds will be conducted online, while the final round will be offline at the CNLU campus in Patna. Important dates include:
• Registration opens & proposition released: 5 Dec 2025
• Last date to register: 26 Dec 2025
• Clarifications deadline: 31 Dec 2025
• Memorial submission: 15 Jan 2026
• Researchers’ Test (online): 31 Jan 2026
• Inaugural & Prelims (online): 1 Feb 2026
• Quarter & Semi-finals (online): 2 Feb 2026
• Finals (offline): 15 Feb 2026
Registration & Fee
Teams must register via the official Google form and pay a ₹4,000 registration fee upon submission. After registration, a unique team code will be assigned for all further communications.
Prizes & Opportunities
• Winning Team: ₹50,000 + internship opportunity at S.S. Rana & Co.
• Runner-Up Team: ₹40,000
• Best Memorial: ₹10,000
• Best Researcher: ₹10,000
• Best Speaker: ₹10,000
