Area: Criminal Law, Criminology, Police Studies or allied fields
Type of employment: Full-time, contractual, 8 months (with possible extension based on project needs and performance)
Remuneration: ₹50,000/month (consolidated)
✅ Eligibility
You should have one of the following qualifications (from a recognised Indian or foreign university) with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade):
- LL.M (specialization in Criminal Law)
- M.A. / M.Sc. in Criminology
- M.A. / M.Sc. in Police Studies / Police Administration
- Or any allied subject relevant to the research area
Beyond that, a demonstrable research track record in Criminal Law / Criminology / Police Studies (or related fields) is required. Prior experience in research, especially including field work and data collection, is considered a valuable advantage.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist in research, review and analysis of policing and governance frameworks across jurisdictions
- Conduct doctrinal, empirical and comparative research (literature review, case/document analysis, data-driven inquiries)
- Help draft research outputs like reports, briefs, and internal working papers
- Work in coordination with project investigators and external consultants as needed
