Global Winter School on Sports Law and Practice (8–15 December 2025)

The intersection of sports and law is expanding faster than ever, and understanding its nuances has become essential for anyone working in the legal or sporting ecosystem. To support this growing need, the School of Law at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR, is hosting the Global Winter School on Sports Law and Practice from 8 to 15 December 2025 in a hybrid format.

About the School of Law, Delhi NCR
Established in 2019, the School of Law at the Delhi NCR campus offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes aligned with BCI and UGC standards. The curriculum blends theory with hands-on learning through internships, moot courts, trial advocacy, client counselling, legal aid work, and skill-based workshops. The school’s teaching approach is designed to prepare students for real-world legal challenges and help them enter the profession with confidence.
About the Winter School
This one-week intensive programme offers a deep dive into the legal, regulatory, commercial, and ethical issues shaping international and Indian sports. The curriculum moves from foundational concepts to advanced contemporary questions, including a detailed discussion of the National Sports Governance Act, 2025.
Key Learning Objectives
Participants will explore:
• The regulatory framework governing ethics, governance, doping, and liability in sports
• The commercial and intellectual property dimensions of sports trade, commerce, tourism, and antitrust
• How dispute resolution, ADR mechanisms, and international arbitration operate in sports conflicts
• The role of gender justice, inclusivity, and policy reforms in shaping modern sports law
Outcomes for Participants
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
• Understand the legal foundations of sports governance
• Draft sports contracts, player agreements, and IP licences used in sports commerce
• Analyse regulatory questions around gambling, betting, and other emerging issues
