Call for Research Papers : International Journal of Transparency and Accountability in Governance 2018; submit by 15 August

About the Journal:

The objective of launching this journal is to function as a forum for reflective writings on the theory and practice of good governance models by keeping abreast with research being done by scholars in this field. The focus would be to provide high level commentary on issues applicable to improving governance measures in India. The journal would concentrate on creating academic discourse by delivering top quality articles written by experts. The IJTAG would appear annually, providing insights useful to legal professionals, researchers, students and academicians. The Publication Committee of the CTAG, under the guidance of the editor and referral board consisting of some celebrated names, is responsible for editing and bringing out this journal.

The Publication Committee of CTAG is inviting quality research papers from professionals, researchers, students, NGOs, Civil Societies, academicians and other stake holders involved in combating corruption and promoting good governance for the Fourth Volume 2018 Edition of the ‘International Journal of Transparency and Accountability in Governance’. Research paper should apply research skills and use of appropriate research methodology. Research paper  should be thematic and identification of sub-themes is highly appreciated. It should have proper research questions and should also reflect the findings. The submission can be sent under the following category:

1. Research papers:

Between 5000 and 10000 words, inclusive of footnotes. Papers in this category are expected to engage with the theme comprehensively, examine literature comprehensively, and offer an innovative reassessment of the current understanding of that theme. It is advisable, though not necessary, to choose a theme  that is of contemporary importance. Purely theoretical pieces are also welcomed.

Electoral Reforms & Accountability of Elected Representatives of People across the  globe:

1) Electoral Reforms and elimination of corruption in governance
2) Role of Election Commissions in electoral reforms
3) Role of political parties in electoral reforms
4) Manifestos of political parties and quality of governance
5) Regulation of corruption of elected representative of people
6) Participatory and Representative democracy and quality of governance
7) Accountability of Elected Representatives of people
8) Political parties under RTI
9) Black money and political parties
10) Registration and monitoring of registered and unregistered political parties
11) Nexus between corporate houses and political parties
12) Funding of political parties
13) Formation of coalition government and corruption
14) State Funding of Elections
15) Right to Reject
16) Right to Recall
17) Coalition governments and control of corruption
18) Any other topic related to the governance of elected representative of people

2. Notes/Comments:

Between 3000 and 5000 words, inclusive of footnotes. This  section should include a thought provoking and innovative piece consisting chiefly of personal opinions and analysis.

Topic: Corruption in governance, Transparency and Accountability in the governance of three pillars of governance, good governance, etc

3. Case/Report Comments:

In between 2500- 3000 words, inclusive of footnotes. This part should entail an analysis of contemporary Indian or International judicial
pronouncements relevant to the themes. It must identify and examine the line of cases in which the decision in question came about, and comment on implications for the evolution of that branch of law.

Topic: Corruption in governance, Transparency and Accountability in the governance of three pillars of governance, good governance, etc

4. Book/Reports Review:

Word limit is 2000- 3000 for review of a book relevant to the themes. The review should identify the relevant arguments put forth by the author
and present a comprehensive analysis of the same.
