ABOUT THE INSTITUTION:
ILS Law College Pune a pioneer in the field of legal education in the country, has marked various historical events, produced meritorious legal scholars and has contributed immensely for the growth of legal profession. ILS Law College Pune since it’s established has proved to be a competent institution in providing quality legal education, and in that line of excellence they have stepped into a workshop program on CURRICULUM AND LEARNING OUTCOME OF LEGAL EDUCATION, a Two Day program organised by the institution in the month of May, 2018.

SCHEDULED ON: 25th AND 26th OF MAY

RATIONALE OF THE WORKSHOP:
In the notion of strengthening legal profession and to reform and develop the curriculum, this workshop aims at bringing together academic scholars, senior professionals from legal field, policy makers, regulatory authorities and members of the Bar and the Bench to deliberate, discuss and guide on formulation of law curriculum to meet the needs of legal profession and ends of justice. The workshop would witness an array of backgrounds and perspectives of its contributors in determining the parameters of curriculum development, teaching learning methodologies and evaluation pattern.

OUTLINE OF THE TWO DAY PROGRAM:
The workshop which is planned for 2 days has arranged sessions by experts deliberately discussing on principles of drafting of Law Curriculum, effective law teaching and objective evaluation. Comprising of legal experts representing the judiciary, academia, litigation, and law firms or policy makers the panel shall present their respective views on evolving a curriculum based on their expertise. The workshop would include hands on activity of drafting curriculum, teaching/ session plans and evaluation scheme or question paper on an identified course/ subject. The presenters shall present the drafts in the concluding session.

Abstract: Maximum 300 words
Full paper: 1500 – 3000 words

  • References and footnotes: Times New Roman, 10-point font size and
  • 1.0 line spacing.
  • Citations: Harvard Bluebook.
