The Faculty of Law of the University of Oxford is pleased to announce The Annual Oxford University India Research Paper Competition 2013-14, and cordially invites university students to enter the competition.
Indian students are a vital part of Oxford. The university’s academic programmes attract many gifted Indian students and it aspires to be a leading centre for the study of India. The Competition is designed to encourage intellectual discourse in wider society as well as to give Indian students an opportunity to exhibit their knowledge of contemporary business and social areas in India.
The 2013-14 competition seeks to address a variety of contemporary issues, ranging from privacy and state surveillance of individuals, to sporting fraud prevention and sports law reforms, to recent developments in corporate governance and social responsibility. Oxford faculty, policy makers, practitioners, academicians, students and alumni shall participate as judges, mentors and speakers in the competition and the accompanying programs. And we hope that it shall be challenging and fun!
The winners’ presentations shall take place in New Delhi on 14th March 2014 at the India International Centre (IIC), Lodhi Road, New Delhi. More information about the competition and relevant materials for participants are available on the competition website at www.orpc.in.
All students are eligible to apply to the competition and teams may be composed of one or two students. The team registration deadline is 1stJanuary 2014 and the paper submission deadline is 1st February 2014.

Awards & Prizes:
The Winning Team will be awarded a Certificate, Medal and a Cash Prize of Rs. 20,000
The 1st Runner up Team will be awarded a Certificate, Medal and a Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000
The 2nd Runner up Team will be awarded a Certificate, Medal and a Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000
A Certificate of Merit shall also be awarded to the next 7 best teams.
A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to all the participants of the competition.
The Organizing Committee may invite up to 6 teams to present their papers at the Oxford India Summit 2014, to be held at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi, from 14th-16th March 2014, and may select papers for publication in a journal at its discretion.
