Nuclear Law Association (NLA) has been established in 2011 at New Delhi, India. The Association is a forum for the legal community to discuss issues relating to peaceful use of nuclear energy in India. NLA aims to promote knowledge sharing and influence policy formulation through seminars, research and outreach.
NLA is organised as a pan-India association of lawyers. NLA is registered in New Delhi as a society under the Societies Registration Act 1860 applicable to National Capital Region.
NLA seeks to engage with the following stakeholders from India and abroad:
- legal community
- government and policy makers
- civil society, and
- other non- governmental organization
Working with NLA would provide an insight on nuclear law, politics and institutions. NLA is in the process of tying-up with a number of law firms, companies and research institutions across India. Selected candidates shall be placed with a particular firm, company or research institutions keeping in mind candidate’s choice and available positions. Assignments are determined according to a mix of factors, of which the intern’s level, qualification and interest coupled with the requirement of NLA at the time, are the most important.
WHO CAN APPLY: Preference shall be for law students who have completed third year law degree.
Students who are selected for internship shall be reimbursed their return ticket as per applicable rules and may be paid an honorarium. Honorarium is paid by the respective organization where the candidates are selected for internship. Rules of internship may vary as per the rules of hosting organization.
